More than 20 years of experience

PHYTEC Messtechnik GmbH, which has its headquarters in Mainz, Germany, was founded more than 20- years ago and is the largest single company in PHYTEC Technologie Holding AG. PHYTEC manufactures predominantly in its central plant in Mainz. The Neubecker family has majority ownership of the group of companies, with the management of the individual companies holding a minority share in them.

PHYTEC is a globally operating company, with subsidiaries in the US and France, and a comprehensive network of distributors in many other countries.

Turnover Phytec Germany, US and France:

Positive results attained, even in the difficult years of 2002 and 2003. Expansion
based on healthy, organic growth characterises our company policy. Phytec operates without outside funds.

OEM-able System on Module (SOM) subassemblies and software

PHYTEC develops and produces OEM-able System on Module (SOM) subassemblies, specifically designed for industrial use. Our basis is a broad spectrum of technological know-how. This includes hardware as well as software know-how, especialy the implementation of operating systems. Therefor we make decisive contributions to reduce your development costs for your new products and help you, to quickly get a foothold in the market. PHYTEC kits are the tools to a quick access to our SOMs and therfore to our investments.

Cost reduction for our customers due to PHYTEC investments

Microprocessors and controllers are becoming more and more complex, just as the industrial applications they are used for. Designing circuitries around a processor requires experience and complex testing equipment.

Operating systems need to be implemented and drivers written. The crux of this work is complying with standards (TCP/IP stack, CANopen etc.). Developement enviroments have to be tailored to correspond with the specific hardware. This will for example allow you to efficiently debug your application.

These are all general steps which have to be made, but are not specific to a certain development. Their implementation requires knowledge, which does not necessarily count as a core skill of our customers. PHYTEC has already carried out this basic work having made investments of more than $100,000.00. We at PHYTEC call this The PHYTEC Investments. They do not just save you enormous amounts of money, but also create competitive advantages as a result of shorter implementation times.
