Embedded video solutions

To date, the market for industrial image processing solutions has been contingent upon PC components. A first step to smaller systems has now been taken  –  intelligent cameras offer an alternative.
 
However, many projects require that image processing is embedded into a device alongside other functions. The functions of the camera have to be factored in along with other components, such as motor controls, GPS receiver, audio or I/O channels.
 
Embedded video components from PHYTEC make it possible to integrate all of these functions on a single circuit board  –  adapted to the mechanical requirements of the end device.  As a result, digital imaging can now be easily integrated into customer-specific series devices.

This innovative quality is attained thanks to high-capacity micro-controller modules with integrated image retraction. Thanks to the selection of compatible individual components combined with the standard PHYTEC anticipatory services  –  e.g. complete BSPs with camera drivers  –  a series solution that is perfectly aligned with your specifications can be readily created.
 
The ready to use complete camera boards that are part of our phyCAM product line, along with our micro-controller boards are consolidated into a modular system, from which the product developer can select the optimum combination. As a result, digital imaging can now be easily integrated into customer-specific series devices.

New: phyCAM-S Development-Kit

This serial phyCAM-S camera interface is based on LVDS transmission and allows for particularly flexible arrangements of cameras inside the application device. The controller module of the phyCARD series also gives developers enhanced design security.
The kit is based on a WVGA color camera and a phyCARD-S with an ARM9 core under Linux.
