Easy, flexible, scalable

Besides adequate processor performance, many embedded solutions require a similar quantity of interfaces. Among these process interfaces are, for instance, the Ethernet, USBs, SPI, I2C and graphics. To warrant compatibility, it is essential to have standardized pin allocations on plug connectors. Consequently, scalable computer performance can be realized across a variety of controller architectures. The critical interfaces for embedded applications are provided directly. Future performance upgrades can be integrated into your designs from the start. Production cessations of components  –  even of controllers  –  will no longer make it necessary to redesign the basic carrier board.

phyCARD

phyCARD-i.MX 6

The phyCARD®-i.MX 6 can be populated with the Freescale ARM® Cortex™-A9 i.MX 6 processor in single (1 x 1 GHz), dual (2 x 1 GHz) or quad (4 x 1 GHz) core variants. This offers scalability of computing performance within the phyCARD®-i.MX 6, as well as up and down the entire phyCARD® family. The i.MX 6 offers the Vivante GC2000 OpenGL 3D, GC355 VG OpenVG and GC320 2D encoding and decoding graphics cores.


phyCARD-AM335x

The new ARM® Cortex™-A8 AM335x Sitara microprocessor from Texas Instruments offers feature-rich and low power consumption of the ARM9™ family at the price point of 16-bit microcontrollers. The AM3352, AM3354, AM3356 and AM3358 variants deliver up to 720 MHz and provide integrated  peripherals such as Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 with PHY, 3D graphics acceleration and up to DDR3 external memory support. This ultra-integration significantly reduces BOM costs.


appBASE + phyCARD

NEW: We developed a Carrier Board for the phyCARD® SOM family that is well suited for industrial applications. No individual Carrier Board development is needed when using an appBASE Carrier Board. Therefore you can start manufacturing faster. In addition to the standardized phyCARD® interfaces, the Carrier Board has the additional interfaces. The signals are available on Micro MaTch connectors and enable wire-to-board or board-to-board connections.
You can use the Carrier Board in a wide range of applications as well as configure it according to your needs. From 50 pieces, custom configurations are possible.
