Overview
Expand the functionality of your Rapid Development Kit with one of our Phytec Extension Boards (PEB). Our assortment of exchangeable expansion modules allows you to flexibly expand the features of our kits using a plug-in system.
The design of our Rapid Development Kits is such that they provide, if at all possible, all of the respective interfaces for the pertinent PhyCore or PhyCard modules and the embedded controller used as a result.
Moreover, functions that are needed as add-ons can easily be retroactively installed with the assistance of our Phytec Extension Boards. You enjoy the added value of being able to adapt our Rapid Development Kits to the future development scope of your finished product even more precisely and you can achieve this already during the evaluation phase. Based on the standardized expansion interfaces of selected Rapid Development Kits, we offer extension modules for e.g. additional Ethernet interfaces, Can, GPIO or WLAN. To achieve this, interfaces such as SPI, USB or I2C are being used, which are available on our extension interfaces. The power supply for these modules is also provided through this interface. All circuits used on our modules are designed as protective circuits and are, therefore, instantly compatible with industrial uses. The enclosed circuit diagram will enable you to copy these circuits and can, therefore, be used as your reference design for your own final application.
All extension modules are already being supported by the operating systems included in our Rapid Development Kits – i.e. Windows CE and Linux – with pertinent integrated drivers.
In the future, we will continuously expand the diversity of modules available.
