phyCORE concept

Combine your product development processes while taking full advantage of all the performance parameters of a controller that boasts the benefits of modular design. Our phyCORE concept has been synonymous for this standard for many years. Our plug connectors come with pin allocations that have been customized for the pertinent module controller. All relevant signals  –  in particular also the address and data bus and of course all controller interfaces  –  are available for the design of a carrier board.
 
phyCOREs allows you to complete your developments as if the controller was completely integrated into your circuit system. Nonetheless, thanks to the modular concept, key elements of your circuit system, such as RAM and Flash, are already complete and installed  –  ready to use. The adaptation of the operating systems to our phyCORE modules is supported by the connection of the interfaces at the hardware end, which we implement for you.
 
Unlike the design work required for your application-dependent circuit components and of the controller core with its repeated, controller-proximate hardware elements on the circuit board, the phyCORE concept actually separates the application and the micro-controller base circuit. The most unique feature of the phyCORE concept is the combination of modularity with the utilization of all controller features.
 
Modular architecture:  Each module layout is specifically designed for the pertinent controller.
 
Configuration of the pin terminal:  Each pin is specifically configured for the module properties.
 
Interfaces:  Controller-dependent and different for each module.
 
Number of pins:  Typically, about 400 pins
 
Pin allocation:  It is possible that certain options cannot be used simultaneously (e.g. because of multiple allocations of controller pins).
 
Communication:  Communication can occur via the address and data bus as well.
 
Carrier board design:  The carrier board is designed as if the controller were directly integrated into the circuit system.
 
Expansions:  Upgrades to the phyCORE modules are based on the embedded road map of the controller manufacturers.
 
Future sustainability:  Upgrades to the phyCORE modules will be driven by the embedded road map of the controller manufacturers.
