ARM9 – high performance – low-power
Processor i.MX27 combines intelligent technology, speed, Freescale, H.264 small components, encoder/decoder, USB, Ethernet, security properties and a powerful ARM9 core.
ARM11 – vector floating point unit – multimedia
The i.MX31 is the top performing controller in the i.MX family and offers the extreme computing power of an ARM11 core.
The phyCORE-Z500PT is based on the new Intel® AtomTM Z500 series for industrial applications. In addition to long availability, one of the key benefits is that it does not require a fan when used within the entire industrial temperature range of -40° to +85°C. Consequently, the advantages of the Intel architecture can now also be used to their full extent in the embedded environment. The Intel® AtomTM delivers a combination of fast computer and graphic speeds with the use of standard operating systems.
A bona fide industry derivate hails from the Freescale i.MX family and is used on the phyCORE-i.MX35x. The i.MX350 family boasts two CAN interfaces, 3.3 V IOs, integrated Ethernet and numerous further developments of its internal features. A wide variety of i.MX35x derivates makes it possible to easily adapt the solution to various requirements.
