Description:

With the ultra-compact phyCORE-i.MX 6ULL module, sophisticated image processing can be integrated into compact devices. With this combination, the focus of optimization is on energy consumption and the favorable price.

The phyCORE module with the inexpensive i.MX 6ULL variant is especially suitable for these cost-sensitive projects. The heart of the module is the i.MX 6ULL processor from NXP, which is based on the ARM Cortex-A7 and the Y2 variant has a camera input. The camera interface of the i.MX 6ULL controller is available on the phyCORE module as a parallel input. In particular, the ready-made phyCAM camera modules from PHYTEC can be connected very easily. Adapted to the computing power, the VM-016 camera series, for example, in both the monochrome and color versions, is ideally suited for this.

On the software side, the camera modules and the camera interface of the controller are mapped as a V4L2 interface and can be easily integrated into the application software.
The embedded imaging kit i.MX 6ULL contains the phyCORE-i.MX 6ULL module on a compact base board of 100 mm x 72 mm. A camera interface is brought out as a parallel phyCAM-P interface on the base board.

In addition to the phyCORE-i.MX 6UL module with base board, the kit also includes the inexpensive camera module VM-016-COL-P-M12 (1 MPixel resolution, color). The camera comes with an M12 lens holder and a matching lens f=12mm. The whole thing is rounded off with a 7” display (800x480) including capacitive touch. The kit contents include the required connection cables and LinuxBSP and manual included.
