With all base boards with phyCAM-P connection (eg boards of the PXA and i.MX controller series), PHYTEC offers the option of directly connecting the sensor board via a cable. On the software side, the corresponding camera drivers and demo programs for various PHYTEC controller boards are installed directly in the BSP provided.

This board is equipped with an Aptina MT9V024 CMOS sensor and supplies monochrome data with 8 or 10 bit gray level resolution or color data in Bayer pattern format. Compared to the MT9V022, it offers an even larger temperature range from -25 ° C to 105 ° C.

The camera board can be supplied in three different housing variants: As a sensor board, with an M12 lens holder or with a C / CS mount bracket.

All variants of the VM-010 are available with the –MUX order option. In this case there is a multiplexer on the board that can be controlled via I²C. The camera can be switched between 8-bit and 10-bit interface operation using the software.
This is necessary if the application requires both 8-bit and 10-bit data (live image and evaluation) and the processor used does not support this (e.g. PXA270 / PXA320).
