The VM-011 is equipped with the monochrome CMOS sensor MT9P031 or with the color CMOS sensor MT9P006 from Aptina. Aptina's DigitalClarity technology offers outstanding image properties.
The resolution of 5 megapixels (2592H x 1944V) makes it ideal for applications where detailed image reproduction is required. Thanks to the integrated windowing function, the resolution can also be reduced and individually adapted to the task at hand. This enables, for example, a pan and scan function to be implemented without moving parts. Complex adjustments of the camera board during installation are a thing of the past.
The readout speed can also be increased by reducing the resolution. The camera achieves a frame rate of 60 fps with HDTV resolution (720p).
As with all phyCAM modules, all parameters such as exposure time, gain, etc. can be set using software.
The camera board is connected to the serial phyCAM-S+ - Interface equipped. It can be connected directly to a controller board with an LVDS camera interface. On the software side, the corresponding camera drivers and demo programs for various PHYTEC controller boards are installed directly in the BSP provided. The camera is designed for a wide temperature range from -25°C to +70°C.
The camera board can be supplied in three different housing variants: As a sensor board, with an M12 lens holder or with a C / CS mount bracket.
