The VM-012-BW-LVDS is equipped with ON Semiconductor's VITA 1300 monochrome CMOS sensor. This sensor has both Global- as well as rolling shutter (switchable).

The sensor has a very good light sensitivity of 4,6 V / lux-s and is also sensitive in the near infrared range (NIR).
The readout speed can also be increased by reducing the resolution. The camera can thus achieve a frame rate of 150 fps with VGA resolution. The user can define up to 8 ROI regions, whereby only the pixels required for the evaluation have to be transferred.
As with all phyCAM modules, all parameters such as exposure time, gain, etc. can be set using software.

The camera board is connected to the serial phyCAM-S+ - Interface equipped. It can be connected directly to a controller board with an LVDS camera interface. PHYTEC offers this interface for controller boards of the phyCARD and phyFLEX families. The corresponding carrier boards are already equipped with the appropriate connector.
On the software side, the corresponding camera drivers and demo programs for various PHYTEC controller boards are installed directly in the BSP provided. 

This board is equipped with the monochrome version of the VITA 1300 (NOIV2SN1300A-QDC). The image data are output in Y8 / Y10 or optionally also Y12 format. The camera is designed for a wide temperature range from -25 ° C to + 85 ° C.

The camera board can be supplied in three different housing variants: As a sensor board, with an M12 lens holder or with a C / CS mount bracket.
