Digital camera module with 8,3 megapixel resolution (4Kp60) for direct connection to a MIPI CSI-2 microcontroller interface.
With a resolution of 8,3 megapixels, the VM-024 delivers razor-sharp 4K images at a frame rate of 60 fps. It is equipped with the AR0830 CMOS sensor from onsemi. The ROI, binning, skipping, and summing features allow for a quick full-image overview or a detailed area of interest to be requested directly from the sensor.
The sensor offers increased sensitivity in the NIR range at 850 nm to 940 nm.
It has an electronic rolling shutter, which is also Global Reset Release mode can be configured.
HDR and enhanced dynamic range allow the dynamic range to be increased up to 100 dB in difficult lighting conditions.
A special feature is the Wake on Motion function. The camera can independently monitor the scene for motion and signal this to the processing system via an interrupt.
The camera module is available as a monochrome or color version. The camera board can be supplied in three different housing variants: as a sensor board, with an M12 lens holder or with a C/CS mount bracket.
Like other PHYTEC camera modules, the VM-024 features a wide temperature range. Combined with its long-term availability, it is ideal for use in professional embedded vision solutions.
Easily integrate autofocus
The camera module is optionally available with a driver for Corning Liquid Lenses. The lens focus can then be easily adjusted using software via the I²C interface. An autofocus function can be implemented using an appropriate algorithm.
