The 2nd processor generation of the STM32 from STMicroelectronics has been specially developed for industrial applications in Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Smart Building: machine control and operation, IoT gateways, object tracking, and predictive maintenance.
The phyFLEX-STM32MP2x FPSC is a cost-effective, high-performance, and cyber-secure platform. Measuring just 40 mm x 37 mm, it enables particularly compact designs. With a typical power consumption of less than 5 watts, the soldering module is ideal for mobile applications and smart devices.
The combination of high computing power (up to 5350 DMIPS) with HMI, vision, and AI capabilities, as well as integrated high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and USB 3.2 Gen 1, enables future-proof product design. The SoM is pre-certified with the SESIP3 security standard and features comprehensive IT security features such as TrustZone and Secure Boot, which are supported by the yocto-based OpenSTLinux platform.BSP The processor is particularly robust and approved for use in an extended temperature range of -45°C to +85°C.
PHYTEC offers the System on Module in various configuration levels, from single-core to dual-core, with or without GPU. Furthermore, the FPSC standard extends scalability with additional phyFLEX modules, enabling product variants and upgrades throughout the product lifecycle.
