Your tasks:

From the very beginning, you take over:

  • Installation and configuration of operating systems on test control computers
  • Automated system setup with Ansible
  • Setup and cabling of test rack units for the respective target hardware together with the corresponding development teams.
  • Integration of new test nodes into the CI infrastructure
  • Procurement, management and exchange of test materials and components as well as support hardware
  • After the initial training, you will expand your responsibilities:
  • Configuration of test adapters and remote board control
  • Setting up and maintaining test flows in the PHYTEC Test Framework for the CI pipeline
  • Conducting integration tests during major framework updates

 

Your profile:

You bring that with you:

  • Completed technical training, e.g. as an IT specialist in system integration, electronics technician or similar – career changers with demonstrable practical experience are also welcome.
  • Experience with Linux (ideally Embedded Linux) – confident command-line skills are a prerequisite.
  • Basic knowledge of Ansible or similar configuration management tools
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Jenkins or similar systems
  • Craftsmanship and meticulousness in the assembly and wiring of laboratory hardware (rack construction, embedded boards, peripherals)
  • Structured, independent work style and enjoyment of technical problem-solving

That's a plus:

  • Python skills are a great advantage, as our internal test framework is Python-based.
  • Experience with Labgrid (remote board control for test automation)
  • Knowledge in the area of ​​Board Support Package (BSP) or embedded systems
  • Experience with test automation and the setup of test infrastructures
