eMobility eM4 _ Charging station from ABL

The ABL Wallbox eM4 is characterized by high ease of use and protection against manipulation and unwanted access. Embedded hardware and individually adapted software from PHYTEC are used for this purpose.

For its new eM4 generation of charging stations, the e-mobility provider ABL relies on components from PHYTEC, which run the control unit and the billing system, including communication via WLAN/BT and LTE.

For this purpose, PHYTEC developed a customer-specific single board computer with phyCORE-i.MX6UL system on module. PHYTEC also took over the adaptation of the Linux operating system and supported ABL in the implementation of a security concept and in series approval - including EMC and environmental measurements.

With this project, both companies are continuing their successful collaboration: the previous generation eMC3 was already equipped with electronics from PHYTEC.

Three eM4 Twin charging stations have now been installed on the PHYTEC technology campus in Mainz. They deliver 11 kW of charging power each in two parallel charging processes, thus supporting PHYTEC's sustainability strategy.

This project was realized with a phyCORE-i.MX 6UL.
